Wonder opens the door. Science walks through it.

Students meet live reptiles and selected invertebrates while learning to observe like scientists. They compare body coverings, movement, senses and structures, then connect those features to habitat and survival.

Students will

  • Observe and compare animal structures and behaviors.
  • Connect form to function and survival.
  • Explore animal needs, habitats and responsible stewardship.
  • Replace fear and misconceptions with knowledge and respect.
Flexible participation

Hands-on does not mean hands-on is required.

Activities can be adapted for varied ages, comfort levels and sensory needs. Live-animal interaction is always choice-based, and observation is a complete form of participation.
